I run glfusion and gallery2 with g2bridge. Everything seems to be fine apart that when I activate the random image block for anonymous users they get this error message when they access my site:

Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://xxx.com/users.php?g2_GALLERYSID=210344d746ec79d10e66e8db0ccaafac”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.

For me when logged in as admin all works fine.
I checked all the permissions for the album and photos I want to display but I am on my wits end now...

Thank you

I have not seen this error in years(4 or 5 at least)
Basically the imageblock is trying to display images the anon user is not allowed to see and redirecting them to login which is also trying to display the imageblock again redirecting to login........

You can hide the block for anon, or make sure non of your albums are for members only.
If you do make sure they don't show up in the imageblock by editing the album and selecting the imageblock flag.

This is what I did. I only want to show the content of one album in the image block. So I unticked all other albums and made sure that for this album "everybody" has the permission to view all versions.

Still, anon user gets this error and I have to disable the block for anon user in order to make the site viewable.

Thank you.

That's a little old, but I think the issue was fixed by then.
Regardless of which albums are checked/unchecked gallery checks permissions and will not present any media you don't have permission to view.

Can you check if there is an imageblock upgrade available in gallery admin -> plugins -> get more plugins.
Also a url would be helpful.

I installed the latest image block for gallery 2 (1.1.0.2). But I still have this problem. I also figured out that this problem also happens when I activate the block but not for anon users. In order to have the site working I need to disable the image block completely.
Let me know what access do you need then I will send it as a pm.

Thanks

I have no idea why this is not working for you - I believe it to be some permissions maybe on the root album.
Gallery is responsible for handling permissions for the media it displays, not G2Bridge.

We could however use a different method to display random images.
Autotags in a block or mediaBlock which is included w/ your G2Bridge installation.
Or even a minislideshow (you can create a block in G2Bridge admin).
These however still honor the imageblock flag to hide selected albums from being displayed.
