Anonymous: Gallery2 slidshow - embedded
 August 23 2010 20:23 PM (Read 1548 times)

My Website is http://www.christophergriggs.com
The link to my gallery is http://www.christophergriggs/gallery.php

I have installed gallery2 at http://www.christophergriggs.com/gallery2/

If you view the gallery here:
http://www.christophergriggs.com/gallery.php?g2_itemId=51
and click to view the slideshow, it's blank...

if you click the same gallery here:
http://www.christophergriggs.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=51
and click to view the slideshow, you can see the slideshow

How do I get the slideshow to work under my gallery embedded page?

Also, I have been testing out the mini and other embedded slideshows. Although they work, if I facebook share them, etc., the return the user to the gallery2/ instead of the gallery.php. I have all of the theming and control under my own gallery.php, instead of re-creating the theme under gallery2. So, I would like to maintain the doorway for the gallery separate (without the login, etc.) displaying.

Anyway.... here's my two tests, minifeed and regular, that work fine, but they link back to the gallery2 directory, instead of the gallery.php page. What do I do to get the gallery.php url to work?

minifeed: http://www.christophergriggs.com/test.php
slideshow: http://www.christophergriggs.com/portfolio.php

This stuff is great, I would love to be able to use it, but I need everyone to stay on the embedded gallery.php page and not head into the gallery2/main.php..

for one, you have a javascript error on that page, also you should add your own domain to your yoursite.com/crossdomain.xml
PHP Formatted Code

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
<cross-domain-policy>
    <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="all"/>
    <allow-access-from domain="*.christophergriggs.com" secure="false" />
    <allow-access-from domain="*.cooliris.com" secure="false" />
</cross-domain-policy>

Another tip, would be to use full urls in your gallery.php's embedUri and g2Uri:
PHP Formatted Code
$ret = GalleryEmbed::init(array('g2Uri'=>'http://www.christophergriggs.com/gallery2/', 'embedUri'=>'http://www.christophergriggs/gallery.php', 'fullInit'=>'false'));

Also, I have been testing out the mini and other embedded slideshows. Although they work, if I facebook share them, etc., the return the user to the gallery2/ instead of the gallery.php. I have all of the theming and control under my own gallery.php, instead of re-creating the theme under gallery2. see embedUri and g2Uri above

Also your theme does not seem to be forming the slideshow link correctly.
try my clear theme or matrix and see if the issue persists.
