mediaBlock does not work w/ G3 and will never.

There are many ways to use jQuery to grab images from G3 and display them however you want.

Hi thanks for the tip

Ive tried the slideshow example

http://www.flashyourweb.com/gallery2/embed_samples/g3_slideshow.php

this example uses the twelve theme which one must purchase

so ive tried the classic theme but couldnt get it working. I got the test working to check if galleria works

but actually seeing the slideshow doesnt occur anywhere

heres what i have

am i missing anything...

<script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.js"></script>
<script src="/galleria/galleria-1.2.7.min.js"></script>

<script>
$(document).ready(function(){
$.get('http://www.mysite.com.au/gallery/index.php/rss/feed/gallery/album/2', {}, function(data){
var images = [];
$(data).find('item'Wink.each(function(){
images.push({
image: $(this).children('media\\:group'Wink.children('media\\:content'Wink.first().attr('url'Wink,
thumb: $(this).children('media\\:thumbnail'Wink.attr('url'Wink,
big: $(this).children('media\\:group'Wink.children('media\\:content'Wink.last().attr('url'Wink,
title: $(this).children('title'Wink.text(),
description: $(this).children('description'Wink.text(),
link: $(this).children('link'Wink.text()
});
});
Galleria.loadTheme('theme/classic/galleria.classic.min.js'Wink;
$('#galleria'Wink.galleria({
data_source: images
});
});
});

I have the classic example here.
And the minimal example here.

I don't know the path to your galleria theme, but since you galleria javascript is here /galleria/galleria-1.2.7.min.js I'd guess you placed the theme here /galleria/theme/classic/galleria.classic.min.js

Since Cooliris killed their iPhone App I've been looking for a new way to leverage the Gallery3 media rss feed ... but I'm a novice when it comes to jQuery or JSON and how to use the G3 Rest API.

This seems like a great alternative but I'm having trouble getting it working.

The feed I'm trying to load: http://www.flexibleinnovations.com/gallery/rss/feed/tag/tag/123

My hacked attempt using your sample: http://flexibleinnovations.com/galleria.php

What am I missing?

Thanks for any direction!
Matt

There is also my ajax G3 gallery utilizing Photoswipe.
Responsive design, "swipable", grabs the appropriate resize based on resolution...
Great for mobile devices.

What am I missing?

Get yourself firebug or some other console and you'll see the errors:
PHP Formatted Code

"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://flexibleinnovations.com/css/style.css"
"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://flexibleinnovations.com/galleria/galleria-1.2.6.min.js"
"NetworkError: 404 Not Found - http://flexibleinnovations.com/images/pure.png"

Hi with the imageslider

?? which ?? didn't you use one of the slideshows?
Which ever... the "imageslider" is reading gallery's RSS feed which only contains 20 images.
The feed however does contain a link to the next RSS feed w/ the next 20 images in the album and so on.

You can have jQuery read these links to the end of the album and load all the images in the album.
However it is better to use a random feed and stick w/ 20 or so(page weight and all)

Try the RSS Extras module to get a random feed.

Next best thing would be to use the REST interface, and that is a whole other headache.
