The Open Source Approach provides a foundation in software and technologies that FlashYourWeb and its partners will continue to innovate. Currently our development is focused on Mobile to HD media delivery, content management & syndication systems (CMS), and community based infrastructures (CBI).
What does it do?
With Gallery and Geeklog firmly established as a mainstream fully-capable CMS & CBI applications, the Open Source development model has proven its ability to create competitive and cost-effective solutions for the long-term growth of micro-web communities. While working with the Open Source projects, we have co-developed several new applications that broaden the use of their initial design. When combined, these applications allow for several types of web/portal infrastructures.
Why should I care?
FlashYourWeb believes that by openly illustrating our organizational strategy to our growing community, we can offer better decisions regarding our adoption of Open Source solutions for our members, clients, and our own internal operations.
With FlashYourWeb development experience along with the growing relationships with our endorsed Open Source Initiatives, the focus of your projects can be directed to the structure and functionality of your online and offline productions rather than the long-term licensing fees associated with commercial software.
You can feel good that the productions we take part in with our clients give back to the internet community and beyond. All aspect of our workflow, methodology, and development are shared with the growing Open Source commmunity. This approach to development and production is a value we have embraced and are proud to be a part of.
